KRASNAYA POLYANA, Russia (AP) -- Lolo Jones is part of an underdog team at the Sochi Olympics.
And she doesn't think that's a bad thing.
Jones was at the track for Day 1 of official bobsled training Friday with USA-3 driver Jazmine Fenlator. The U.S. is favored to medal when the women compete next week, but virtually all those expectations are surrounding the top two American sleds driven by Elana Meyers and Jamie Greubel.
That doesn't bother Jones. After all, Sochi has been filled with surprises so far.
American medal favorites like Shaun White, Shani Davis and Heather Richardson have struggled. Sage Kotsenburg, Joss Christensen and Erin Hamlin have been surprise medal winners.
Jones says, "This is the Olympics of the underdogs." And she's hoping it stays that way.
