PARMA, Italy (AP) -- Right winger Giovanbattista Venditti is expected to miss Italy's first two Six Nations rugby matches next month after a high right ankle sprain on Saturday will keep him sidelined for a month.
Venditti was hurt in Zebre's 14-12 win over Treviso in the Celtic League.
Medical exams by the club reveal Venditti won't need surgery. But Zebre says on Wednesday he will likely miss Italy's visit to Wales on Feb. 1, and the home test against France on Feb. 9.
Venditti has three tries in 19 tests since his debut in the 2012 Six Nations.
