SYDNEY (AP) -- Midfielder Michael McGlinchey's goal seven minutes into stoppage time gave the defending A-League champion Central Coast Mariners a 2-1 win over Perth on Tuesday.
Perth leveled the match from an 84th-minute penalty from Steve McGarry in his 100th appearance for the Glory. But in a frantic stoppage-time period, Perth had skipper Jacob Burns sent off for a second yellow card before McGlinchey netted the winner.
Trent Sainsbury gave the Mariners the lead in the 12th minute.
The win left the Mariners in fourth place, eight points behind first-place Brisbane.
On Wednesday, second-place Western Sydney will have a chance to pull within a point of the Roar with a win over Wellington.
