LONDON (AP) -- British broadcaster Sky News says one of its cameramen has been shot dead while covering the violence in Egypt.
Sky says Mick Deane was part of its team of journalists covering the violent breakup of protest camps in the capital, Cairo, on Wednesday. It says the rest of the crew is unhurt.
Sky news chief John Ryley said Deane was a brilliant journalist and a mentor to many colleagues.
Dozens of people have been killed across Egypt in clashes between security forces and supporters of ousted president Mohammed Morsi.
