KANSAS CITY, Kansas (AP) -- Serie A club AS Roma will be taking on the best that Major League Soccer has to offer in the league's annual All-Star game on Wednesday night at Sporting Park.
The current format of the All-Star game, featuring an international opponent, was adopted more than a decade ago. Last year, the MLS side beat Premier League club Chelsea.
Wednesday's game will be a special one for Roma's American midfielder Michael Bradley, who got his start in professional footballer as an 18-year-old for what would eventually become the New York Red Bulls.
Now he gets a chance to see just how far the MLS has come, when he joins up with Francesco Totti and the rest of his Serie A teammates.
