NRL to probe reports of player assault of woman

The National Rugby League says it will investigate a woman's assault allegations against South Sydney's Ben Te'o, who has not been charged by police in the matter.
A Brisbane woman says she was left bleeding with a fractured eye socket from an assault by Te'o last month. Te'o denies the allegations and won't be suspended by the Rabbitohs.
NRL chief operating officer Jim Doyle says the league "will be looking into this as much as possible ... if you want to change the culture and you sweep things like this under the carpet, you will never change anything."
On Thursday, Queensland coach Mal Meninga said Te'o would not be excluded from his team's selection for State of Origin matches against New South Wales until the investigation was complete.
