3-story building collapses in Libya, kills 5

A three-story residential building has collapsed in the Libyan capital, killing five people and sparking a protest against the authorities.
The building collapsed Friday morning on a main street called Omar al-Mukhtar, at the heart of Tripoli in one of its oldest districts.
Victims belong to two families and included a pregnant woman, according to al-Sadat al-Badri, head of the city council. He added that the deteriorating condition of the decades-old buildings caused the collapse. Residents of similar buildings will be relocated, he added.
Angry residents closed Omar al-Mukhtar street and chanted against Prime Minister Ali Zidan.
Residents blame the government for poor public services. Thousands of families have flocked to the city after being displaced in the eight-month civil war that toppled former dictator Moammar Gadhafi.
