Cronulla coach reinstated after doping scandal

The head coach who proclaimed his innocence in a doping controversy at the Cronulla Sharks has been reinstated by the National Rugby League team two weeks after being stood down.
The Sharks announced Friday that Shane Flanagan would resume coaching the club for its home game Sunday against the New Zealand Warriors.
Flanagan, who said "it's been a tough couple of weeks," was stood down and four other senior staff _ including the trainer and team doctor _ were sacked over reported illegal supplement use in 2011. Flanagan had denied any knowledge of the situation.
Although it was reported that up to 14 Cronulla players were being investigated, none have been suspended by the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority. Last week, Cronulla's board chairman quit over his handling of the affair.
