Jamaica slum dwellers deliver petition to PM

Residents of a Jamaican slum once controlled by the island's biggest underworld boss are demanding accountability and justice for a deadly 2010 raid aimed at catching him.
Roughly 80 demonstrators marched Wednesday from a central Kingston square to Portia Simpson Miller's offices. Most were from Tivoli Gardens, a housing complex in West Kingston once run by drug kingpin Christopher "Dudus" Coke.
A handful were permitted inside the gates to deliver a petition calling for an international inquiry into the May 2010 operation in which at least 73 civilians died.
Basic details of the raid remain murky, though it was one of the bloodiest episodes in Jamaica's recent history and there have been numerous claims of unlawful killings.
