Police: 2 suspects detained in attack on tourists

Barbados police have detained two suspects in a weekend shooting attack on a British couple who were robbed as they visited the island on a cruise ship.
Inspector David Welch of the Royal Barbados Police Force says the two suspects were being interviewed on Tuesday. They have not been charged.
He identified the wounded tourists as Philip and Ann Prior. The married couple is from a British village in Suffolk.
They were shot during a Sunday port call to Barbados on an 85-day world trip on the British P&O Cruises' Adonia ship.
Welch says the man was shot on the left side of his pelvis and is expected to be released from a hospital Tuesday. The woman was shot in her right thigh and was released Monday.
