Venezuela asks Curacao for bag from missing plane

The prosecutor's office of Venezuela has asked the Dutch Caribbean island of Curacao to send it a bag believed to be the first sign of debris from a missing plane that was carrying the CEO of Italian fashion house Missoni.
Luis Diaz of Venezuela's civil protection agency said Monday that prosecutors want the bag for their investigation.
A German tourist found the bag along Curacao's rocky north coast. It belonged to an Italian who missed the flight that Vittorio Missoni was on when the plane vanished shortly after takeoff on Jan. 4 near Venezuela. Three other Italian tourists and two crew members were also aboard.
Curacao lies about 200 miles (320 kilometers) west of of Los Roques, where the plane departed for Venezuela's capital.
