South African media names 2 dead triathletes

South African newspapers have named the two triathletes who died while competing in their first ironman over the weekend.
The Port Elizabeth Herald and Afrikaans-language Die Burger said the men were Kevin Staessen of Johannesburg and Berton Bosman of Pretoria.
Organizers said the event doctor found the pair suffered cardiac respiratory arrests during the swimming leg of the 70.3-kilometer (43-mile) race in East London, on South Africa's south east coast, on Sunday.
Rescue staff tried to resuscitate the men in the water and then in a medical tent. They were pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital.
Race organizer World Endurance Africa said in a statement "we feel devastated" and chose initially not to release the names of the 29-year-old and 37-year-old men.
