European chamber's report to forecast Taiwan's employment market

Taipei, Jan. 20 (CNA) The European Chamber of Commerce Taipei (ECCT) will present a report on Jan. 22 in association with a recruitment agency on trends in Taiwan's employment market amid an expected economic upturn in the middle of 2013, according to its website. Dan Chavasse, regional managing director for North Asia at the recruitment agency Michael Page International, will present the report at a a luncheon speech organized by the ECCT. The report will cover the outlook for the domestic recruitment market across the retail, financial services and technology sectors in 2013. The Michael Page Salary & Employment Forecast is a key recruitment industry report that has been released annually to the market in a number of Asia-Pacific countries for more than five years. The report is based on both quantitative and qualitative research, with findings derived from a survey of employers and from insights obtained through the company's involvement in the professional employment market. The Michael Page Salary & Employment Forecast is currently produced for Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, Australia and New Zealand. Also at the luncheon, Tony Phoo, an economist at Standard Chartered Bank in Taiwan, will give a presentation on the bank's forecasts for Taiwan in 2013, the implications for the wider economy and how this will impact business.
