Poland: No explosives found on Polish plane wreck

Polish military prosecutors have denied a newspaper report that said investigators had found traces of explosives in the wreckage of the plane that crashed in Russia in 20102 killing Poland's President Lech Kaczynski and 95 others.
Ireneusz Szelag, a spokesman for the military prosecutors, said Tuesday that experts who examined the wreckage last month in Russia have detected no explosives. He said, however, that some chemical substances were found on parts of the wreckage that will be submitted for laboratory tests. It will take months to name those substances, he said.
Szelag said a news report in the Rzeczpospolita daily alleging that traces of explosives were found on the place is not true.
