SKorea’s opposition parties seek possible coalition to prevent ruling party from winning presidential vote



While Korean presidential election approaching, the polls show that the supports for presidential candidate of ruling party Park Geun Hye, the main opposition Democratic United Party Moon Jae In and independent candidate Ahn Cheol Soo reveals uncertainty.

Moon officially requested Ahn to start discussion on a possible coalition, preventing Park Geun Hye from winning the Dec. 19 presidential election, according to an-emailed statement of Woo Sang Ho, a spokesman for Moon today.

“Moon and Ahn need to begin detailed talks next week at the latest to ensure that a coalition is formed before the Nov. 25-26 candidate registration deadline,” Woo said.
