Team Sky sports director Sean Yates retires

Team Sky lead sports director Sean Yates, who helped Bradley Wiggins win the Tour de France in July, is retiring.
The British team says Sunday that Yates' departure is not linked to its crackdown on team members' connections to doping in the wake of the Lance Armstrong scandal.
In a statement Team Sky says "Sean has been interviewed and there were no admissions or disclosures that would have required him to leave the team."
Team principal Dave Brailsford added that Yates "has told us that he wants to move on, for purely personal reasons."
The 52-year-old Yates competed in the 1980s and 1990s, ending his racing career in 1996 with Motorola.
Former Motorola teammate Bobby Julich left his Team Sky coaching job last week after admitting to using drugs.
