Franklin leads Hawthorn into 1st place in AFL

Key forward Lance Franklin kicked four goals in his return from a six-week injury layoff to lead Hawthorn to a 15.12 (102) to 14.11 (95) win over Sydney, moving the Hawks past the Swans and into first place in the Australian Football League.
The Hawks trailed at the Sydney Cricket Ground by five points Saturday night with just over a minute to go before Shaun Burgoyne and Brad Sewell kicked goals to carry Hawthorn to victory.
Led by three second-quarter goals to Franklin and two to Burgoyne, the Hawks scored 38 unanswered points before halftime.
Hawthorn leads the standings on percentage and can clinch the AFL's minor premiership with a home win over West Coast next Friday on the final weekend of the regular season.
