Sendai beats Omiya 3-1 to close gap in J-League

Jiro Kamata and Toshihiro Matsushita scored second-half goals on Saturday as Vegalta Sendai won 3-1 at Omiya Ardija to move within one point of leader Sanfrecce Hiroshima in the J-League.
Yu Hasegawa gave Omiya a 1-0 lead in the 24th minute, but Brazilian Wilson equalized in the last minute of the first half with a right-footed shot from nine meters for his 10th goal of the season.
Kamata put the visitors in front with a header in the 56th minute, and Matsushita sealed the win with his first goal of the season late in injury time.
Hiroshima lost 1-0 away to FC Tokyo, with Lucas scoring early in the second half. Third-place Urawa Reds beat Shimizu S-Pulse 2-0.
