Akram appointed as Pakistan bowling coach

The Pakistan Cricket Board has appointed former fast bowler Mohammad Akram as bowling coach for one year.
Akram played nine test matches and 23 one-day internationals for Pakistan from 1995 to 2001 and also represented Essex, Northamptonshire, Sussex and Surrey in England.
The PCB announced the move on Friday.
PCB director Intikhab Alam said Akram will remain "under our observation and if this goes well his contract will definitely be extended."
Akram, 37, will join the team in the United Arab Emirates where Pakistan plays its first ODI against Australia on Tuesday.
