Tottenham winger Gareth Bale reportedly won't be available for Britain's football squad for the Olympics because of injury.
Britain's Press Association says Bale has had a recurrence of a back injury while running and has been ruled out of the London Games.
PA says on Saturday that the 22-year-old Welshman has informed Britain coach Stuart Pearce that he won't be able to play. Pearce is due to name his 18-man squad on Monday having already controversially decided to leave out former England captain David Beckham.
Bale signed a new four-year contract with Tottenham last week, tying him to the London club until 2016 amid reported interest from some of Europe's leading clubs.
Britain faces Senegal, U.A.E. and Uruguay in its group games at the Olympics.
