Pakistan reaches 217-1 at tea vs. Sri Lanka

Mohammad Hafeez scored his fifth test century Saturday and shared an unbroken stand of 139 for the second wicket with Azhar Ali as Pakistan reveled on a batting pitch to reach 217 for one at tea on the opening day of the second cricket test against Sri Lanka.
Hafeez who played a supportive role to his opening partner Taufeeq Umar and reached a cautious 20 not out off 73 balls by lunch, freed himself in the second session to score 85 runs off 98 balls after the break.
At tea Hafeez was 105 not out off 171 deliveries including 13 boundaries with Ali on 45 not out.
Umar gave Pakistan a confident start in the opening session, scoring 65 off 74 balls including 12 boundaries. He was out caught by wicketkeeper Prasanna Jayawardene off seamer Anjelo Mathews who returned 1-35.
