Bill Clinton has wrapped up a two-day trip to Haiti aimed at luring first-time travelers and investors.
The former U.S. president brought with him more than a dozen executives who run businesses that range from a major U.S. hotel chain to an independent travel organizer.
The group arrived in Haiti late Wednesday night and crisscrossed the country via helicopter. They visited an island resort and a cinema school in the south and a historic fortress, international airport and cruise-ship port in the north.
Haiti is still trying to recover from the 2010 earthquake and the government of President Michel Martelly hopes it can revive the economy by wooing first-time visitors.
Traditional tourists have avoided Haiti for several decades because of political instability and almost unmatched levels of poverty.
