China publishing expo delegation visits I-Mei Multimedia

A delegation from China’s Nanguo (Southland) Book Fair in Guangzhou visited I-Mei Multimedia e-Content Production and Marketing Co., Ltd. in Taipei yesterday.
The Nanguo Book Fair was founded in 1993. During successive two decades, it has grown into one of China’s top annual carnivals of publishing and culture. Its 45,000 square meters of space is China’s largest area for the exhibition of books and other published materials. An estimated 800 domestic and foreign publishers are likely to participate this year, showing more than 300,000 titles to the public.
The Taiwan Pavilion at the Nanguo Book Fair is a joint venture by the Taiwan Book Publishing Association and the Xinhua Publishers Group of Guangdong Province, with Fujian Province’s Mintai Books handling the organizing aspects of the deal. The book fair will take place August 18-23 at the Pazhou Expo grounds in the city of Guangzhou.
The fair is expected to provide a unique opportunity for publishers from both sides of the Taiwan Straits to meet and exchange views.
According to Mintai Chairman Chen Hui, the Taiwan Pavilion and its area of 1,500 square meters are a first. The pavilion will allow Taiwanese publishers to sell more of their products and to receive added business opportunities.
On May 1, Chen and his delegation visited the offices of one of Taiwan’s most advanced digital publishers, I-Mei Multimedia e-Content Production and Marketing Co., Ltd., where they were welcomed by its executive director, Jack Wong.
