Last week: Jason Dufner won the Zurich Classic in Avondale, Louisisana, for his first US PGA Tour victory, beating Ernie Els with a birdie on the second hole of a playoff.
Notes: Tiger Woods, the 2007 winner, is making his first start since the Masters. He tied for 40th at Augusta National, two weeks after winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational. ... Rory McIlroy won in 2010, finishing with a 10-under 62 to beat Phil Mickelson by four strokes. McIlroy won the Honda Classic in March. ... Hunter leads the tour with two victories this year, winning the Match Play Championship and Houston Open. ... Mickelson also is making his first start since the Masters. He won at Pebble Beach in February for his 40th US PGA Tour title. He tied for third at Augusta National. ... The Players Championship is next week at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

Last week: Austria's Bernd Wiesberger won the Ballantine's Championship in South Korea for his first European Tour title. He closed with a 4-under 68 for a five-stroke victory.
Notes: Alvaro Quiros, the 2010 winner in Seville, is in the field along with fellow Spanish players Miguel Angel Jimenez, Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano, Rafael Cabrera-Bello and Pablo Larrazabal. Cabrera-Bello won the Dubai Desert Classic in February. ... Jose Maria Olazabal designed the course. ... The Madeira Islands Open is next week, followed by Volvo World Match Play Championship in Spain and BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth in England.

Last year: Colombia's Mariajo Uribe won the 36-hole exhibition event, finishing with a 66 in rainy conditions for a one-stroke victory.
Last week: Stacy Lewis won the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic for her second US LPGA Tour title, holding off teen Lexi Thompson by a stroke.
Notes: Uribe is in the 30-player field along with Suzann Pettersen, Paula Creamer and Anna Nordqvist. ... Scotland's Catriona Matthew was five months pregnant when she won the inaugural event in 2009. ... The tour is off next week. The Sybase Match Play Championship is May 17-20 in New Jersey.

Last year: Brad Faxon won the October event for his first Champions Tour title when rain washed out the final round. He shot a 7-under 65 in the second round to take a one-stroke lead over Tommy Armour III.
Last event: David Frost and Michael Allen won the Legends of Golf better-ball event April 22 in Savannah, Georgia. Allen also won the previous week at TPC Tampa Bay.
Notes: Fred Couples won the 2010 tournament. He played the final eight holes in 7 under, making his second eagle of the round and five birdies. ... Bernhard Langer won the 2007 event at Augusta Pines and successfully defended his title in 2008 at The Woodlands. ... Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Lee Trevino, Don January, Miller Barber, Gene Littler, David Graham and Dave Stockton will compete Saturday in a Greats of Golf scramble event. ... The tour is off the next two weeks. Play will resume May 24-27 with the Senior PGA Championship in Benton Harbor, Michigan.
