Former Scotland captain Paterson to retire

Former Scotland captain Chris Paterson will retire from rugby union after Edinburgh's final match of the season on Saturday.
The 34-year-old fullback quit international rugby in December after a Scottish record 109 appearances and 809 points.
He has decided to wind up his playing career in favor of what his club says is "a new non-playing role with Edinburgh Rugby and Scottish Rugby."
Edinburgh added it would announce details of the role next week.
Edinburgh head coach Michael Bradley says Saturday will "be an emotional day for fans and players alike."
Paterson kicked 699 points for Scotland and only two of his countrymen have scored more than his 22 tries.
