The English Football Association has called a news conference for Tuesday afternoon where it is expected to confirm Roy Hodgson as the new national team coach.
The West Bromwich Albion manager had what the FA described as a "positive" talks on Monday and returned to Wembley Stadium on Tuesday lunchtime for further discussions.
The FA said there would be a news conference at 1500 GMT.
