UK lawmakers to publish phone hacking report

A group of lawmakers investigating Britain's phone hacking scandal will publish a report on how senior News International executives including James Murdoch handled the crisis.
The document to be published Tuesday by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport is expected to gauge whether James Murdoch handled the scandal properly. It will also look at how his lieutenants behaved.
The committee questioned James Murdoch and his father Rupert last year after it emerged that some reporters at the News of the World tabloid had routinely hacked into the phones of public figures and crime victims.
The scandal forced the closure of the tabloid, and triggered three police investigations and a judge-led inquiry into media ethics.
