Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Synchronised will attempt to become the first horse in 78 years to capture British steeplechasing's two biggest races in the same season after being entered for this year's Grand National.
Synchronised is one of 59 initial entries for one of horse racing's most grueling events, which will be run on April 14 at Aintree, Liverpool.
After winning the Gold Cup on Friday, the Jonjo O'Neill-trained horse is joint-second favorite at 10-1 with some British bookmakers for the 4 1/2-mile Grand National. Prince De Beauchene (9-1) is the early market leader.
Golden Miller was the last horse to achieve the Gold Cup-Grand National double in the same season, in 1934.
