Taiwan-branded ICT innovations to be displayed at CeBIT

Taipei, March 5 (CNA) The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) will hold a press conference on March 7 at Germany's CeBIT tech fair to showcase leading information and communications technology (ICT) products from Taiwan. The "Taiwan ICT Products Launch International Press Conference" will introduce 66 new products from Taiwanese companies in the sector, according to a TAITRA statement. They will include the Padfone and the Eee Pad Transformer TF201 from Asustek Computer Inc. and a 14-inch Ultrabook laptop from Gigabyte Technology Co., the statement said. Executives from Asustek, Gigabyte, PC peripheral supplier Thermaltake Group and networking solutions provider ZyXEL Communications Corp. will also share their views on technology transformation, Ultrabooks and personal clouds. CeBIT, the world's biggest technology and telecoms fair, will open on March 6 in Hannover, Germany with a focus on big data, cloud computing, mobility and social media. More than 4,200 companies and organizations from 70 different countries will be exhibiting at the five-day fair, the organizers said. (By Jeffrey Wu)
