Australian football's best supported club Sydney FC has sacked chief executive Dirk Melton after complaints about his behavior toward staff.
The A-League club said in a statement Monday that's Melton's contract had been terminated immediately after a unanimous decision by the board. It said the decision followed "a number of formal complaints of a serious nature by employees."
The complaints had been investigated and "revealed behavior in Mr. Melton's management of staff which was completely unacceptable," the statement said.
The club said Stefan Kamasz will take over as acting chief executive officer.
