The broadcaster RTE stated that s majority of Irish voters will support Europe’s new fiscal treaty according to a Sunday Independent poll.
Of those who expressed a preference, 59 percent backed the treaty and 41 percent opposed it, Dublin-based RTE said. That closely matched the results of a poll tweeted by the Sunday Business Post today.
In all, the Sunday Independent poll showed 37 percent are in favor of the treaty, 26 percent opposed and 15 percent have not yet decided how to vote, according to RTE, which said the poll was carried on Feb, 28 and Feb, 29. It didn’t say how many people were polled or detail the margin of error.
