Reigning champion Reds hold off Force 35-20

Giant backrower Radike Samo scored one of his trademark long-range tries and Mike Harris landed nine goals from nine attempts as the defending champion Queensland Reds held off Western Force 35-20 to hold top spot in the Australian Super 15 conference.
In their first home match of the season, Queensland raced to a 26-6 lead early in the second half on a wet night in Brisbane.
Force captain David Pocock and James Stannard each scored within five minutes to close the gap on the reds before Harris kicked three consecutive penalties to ensure the win.
Harris, deputizing for injured playmaker Quade Cooper, equaled a Queensland record set by World Cup-winning captain John Eales in 1996 with his nine kicks from nine.
