Greenland mourns victims of triple homicide

Greenland is in mourning a day after a triple murder in a remote hamlet of indigenous Inuits, with the semiautonomous Danish territory lowering flags and observing two minutes of silence.
Police spokesman Claus Risbjerg said Thursday that blunt instruments, probably hammers, were used to kill an 8-year-old girl and two women aged 31 and 75. Two men, aged 32 and 81, were seriously injured.
Another woman and her daughter narrowly escaped Wednesday's attack in Nutaarmiut, a hamlet of 50 inhabitants about 560 miles (900 kilometers) north of the Arctic Circle.
Police say a 22-year-old male suspect has been detained.
