Wanted notice for Taiwanese man in Japan updated

Tokyo, Jan. 9 (CNA) The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department released Monday an updated wanted notice for a Taiwanese man wanted in connection with the murder of two female Taiwanese students in Tokyo last week. The new notice carried a more recent and closer shot of Chang Chih-yang than one that had been released a day earlier at a press conference. The 30-year-old Chang is listed as a murder suspect after his blood was detected at the crime scene where Julia Chu, 25, and Lin Chih-ying, 23, both from Taiwan, were found covered in blood in their dormitory at the Intercultural Institute of Japan in the Taito district of Tokyo. Japanese media reported that Chang is injured and suspected to be in the Toki region of Japan, which covers Aichi, Gifu, Mie and Shizuoka prefectures. As of 2 p.m. (Taipei time), Chang's whereabouts was still unknown. (By Yang Ming-chu, and Ann Chen)
