Mariners increase 1st-place lead in A-League

Central Coast attacking midfielder Oliver Bozanic scored in the ninth minute to secure a 1-0 win over Sydney on Sunday, increasing the Mariners' lead in Australia's A-League to eight points.
Second-place Brisbane Roar's winless streak was extended to six matches after a 1-1 draw at Adelaide United on Saturday. Issey Nakajima-Farran's goal gave the Roar the lead but Reds striker Sergio Van Dijk scored a penalty to level.
Brisbane hasn't won since its record 37-match unbeaten streak ended with a loss to Sydney on Dec. 4.
In another match Sunday, Josh Mitchell scored three minutes into added time to give the Perth Glory a 1-0 win at Wellington.
