Hearts, Hibs survive scares in Scottish Cup

Hearts edged past junior team Auchinleck Talbot 1-0 in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup on Saturday to avoid what would have been one of the biggest upsets in the competition's history.
Gordon Smith's 84th-minute goal was enough for the Scottish Premier League side, which had a penalty saved in the 20th minute at Tynecastle.
Auchinleck almost salvaged a replay when Gordon Pope scored in stoppage time but the strike was ruled out for offside.
"I said to my players before the game, 'Don't believe that it will be easy. People are expecting us to win 10-0,'" Hearts manager Paulo Sergio said.
Hibernian also survived a scare by scraping past third-tier Cowdenbeath 3-2.
Rangers and Celtic play fourth-round matches on Sunday.
