Arnd Peiffer of Germany came from behind to claim a 10K sprint event on Saturday for the world champion's first biathlon World Cup win of the season.
The 24-year-old Peiffer was 2.1 seconds behind Simon Fourcade with 600 meters to go but managed to snatch victory from the Frenchman in 25 minutes 57.5 seconds, with one penalty.
Fourcade, who shot cleanly in difficult conditions, finished 1.1 second back, with Olympic champion Evegeny Ustyugov of Russia, who also shot cleanly, finishing third, 4.8 seconds behind.
It was Peiffer's fifth World Cup victory, with all his victories coming in the sprints.
