This week the world’s largest technology firms will gather in Las Vegas for the annual Consumer Electronics Show. More than 2,700 exhibitors will demonstrate their new products.

Popular items at this year’s CES will be tablets, ultrabooks, bigger and thinner TVs, 3D TVs without the need for special glasses, and connected TVs, CES CEO Gary Shapiro said. He also expects “a lot of green, energy-efficient technology.”

Dozens of new ultrabooks are set to debut at the show from Lenovo, Asus, Toshiba, HP, Dell and many others. LG is expected to bring its two latest innovations: 4mm-think TV and the “OLED” technology. Microsoft will probably show off its Windows 8. Nokia will unveil its first Windows Phone for AT&T’s high-speed networks.
