The National Energy Administration announced today, China targets to decrease the number of coal-mining accidents and deaths at least 40 percent by 2015, compared with levels in 2010.


Chinese coal-mining industry exist the serious security problem. Sometimes, officials will hide the death toll and actual status for public. The workers’ working conditions are tough and dangerous. Following international nations concern about the human right against China, China may figure the ways to improve this issue.


“By 2015, China also aims to increase proven coal-bed methane geological reserves by 1 trillion cubic meters,” said Wei Pengyuan, NEA’s deputy director of coal, said in a statement on the administration’s website according to Bloomberg.
