Vuelta winner Cobo signs 2-year deal with Movistar

Cycling team Movistar has signed Spanish Vuelta champion Juan Jose Cobo to a two-year deal.
Cobo says he is joining "one of the biggest squads in the world."
The 30-year-old Spanish rider won his first cycling major in September with Geox TMC, and now joins the Spanish team. The Vuelta is cycling's most important event following the Tour de France and Giro d'Italia.
Cobo makes Movistar even stronger since it will be counting on the return of 2009 Vuelta champion Alejandro Valverde, whose two-year ban for being implicated in Spanish blood-doping ring Operation Puerto expires in January.
