1 dead, 3 wounded after shooting at Jamaica rally

Jamaican authorities are investigating a shooting by gunmen at a political rally in a southwestern parish that killed one ruling-party supporter and wounded three others.
The shooting comes as Jamaicans head to the polls Thursday to select candidates for the 63 seats in Parliament.
Political Ombudsman Bishop Herro Blair says authorities are trying to determine if the late Tuesday shooting at a Central Westmoreland rally of ruling-party candidate Marlene Malahoo-Forte was politically motivated.
The young professional wing of the ruling Jamaica Labor Party said four gunmen invaded the candidate's rally and opened fire, creating chaos among attendees.
Police said Wednesday they are still investigating the shooting and could not yet comment on a possible motive.
