Police: Blast kills 3 soldiers in Pakistan

A police official says a roadside bomb hit a vehicle carrying paramilitary soldiers in Pakistan's southwestern city of Karachi, killing three of them.
Akram Naeem says the bomb contained around 11 pounds (5 kilograms) of explosives and was planted along a road near an army cantonment. The blast Friday morning also wounded four soldiers.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Islamist militants, including the Pakistani Taliban and their allies, have carried out many such bombings throughout the country.
Karachi also experiences frequent violence caused by power struggles between gangs allegedly connected to the city's main political parties.
