UK rate setters united on pause in stimulus

The Bank of England's rate-setting panel was unanimous this month in making no changes in the base lending rate and its economic stimulus program.
Minutes of the November meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee released Wednesday showed that members believed it was too early to add to the 75 billion pounds ($117 billion) of asset purchases authorized in October.
The minutes say members believed it would take three months to complete those purchases, and meanwhile they could assess the impact on the economy.
The committee also voted to keep the base rate at the all-time low of 0.5 percent.
