Chinese feng shui master denied entry to Taiwan

Taipei, Nov. 7 (CNA) A Chinese fortuneteller and feng shui master was sent back to China Monday evening, after he was denied entry to Taiwan a day earlier due to "illegal employment" during his last visit. Sen Lee, better known as Lee Jianjun, was banned from entering the country for three years in May, after Taipei City's Labor Department discovered he had appeared in several television shows without having the appropriate permit, according to National Immigration Agency's Border Affairs Corps. Immigration authorities added that despite being in possession of the correct paperwork this time round, he was still barred. His schedule showed that he took a flight from Taiwan at 6:25 p.m. to Shenzhen, southern China from which he will fly to the United States. Lee, who is married to a former TV hostess from Taiwan, felt his treatment was unfair. He expressed puzzlement about the decision because he had been invited by a book publisher to attend symposiums and book launches. Lee claimed the planned visit was legal. The 56-year-old is well known in Taiwan for his predictions concerning politics and the showbiz world. (By Bien Chen-feng and Kendra Lin)
