Medvedev, IMF chief discuss eurozone debt crisis

Christine Lagarde, head of the International Monetary Fund, is meeting with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in her first official foreign trip outside the European Union.
The meeting Monday is expected to focus on the European debt crisis and possible financial support from Russia and other BRIC countries.
Russia has said it is willing to offer up to $10 billion to the IMF to help it support the eurozone, but it has also called for a larger role in the global financial institution. The Group of 20 world leaders' summit last week ended with only vague offers from countries to invest in the eurozone.
Medvedev said at the start of the meeting with Lagarde he would like to discuss the results of the summit and issues related to the global economy.
