Philippine police search for 3 missing SKoreans

Philippine police officials say three South Korean men have been reported missing and may have been abducted in a volatile southern province.
Police Senior Superintendent Gerardo Rosales said Monday that a search has been launched for Wu Seok-bung, Kim Nam-du, In Soo-choi and at least one Filipino guide after they failed to return to their hotel in southern Cagayan de Oro city on Oct. 21.
Rosales says the three traveled to nearby Lanao del Norte province reportedly to inspect a mining site and may have been abducted by unidentified gunmen. A police search was under way in the region.
Muslim guerrillas and kidnap gangs are active in the predominantly Muslim region.
The South Korean foreign ministry in Seoul says it cannot confirm the reported abduction.
