A 22-year-old poker professional from England has been eliminated from the World Series of Poker final table in Las Vegas in ninth place.
Sam Holden of Sussex lost the last of his chips Sunday to 26-year-old Las Vegas poker player Ben Lamb.
Holden moved all-in with an ace-jack and Lamb called with an ace-king. Lamb was well ahead before the community cards were dealt, and hit a flush on the turn to cement the win.
Holden won $782,115 for ninth place, but nothing additional as all nine remaining players were paid ninth place money in July.
