Nine World Series of Poker finalists from seven different nations have resumed their marathon chase of $8.72 million and poker's biggest title.
The players, including three Americans and others from Ireland, Great Britain, Germany, Belize, the Czech Republic and the Ukraine, started play Sunday in Las Vegas before a raucous casino crowd and more watching nearly live on TV.
Smoke machines filled the air around the massive set, girls fired T-shirts through air launchers into the crowd and fans of the players waved flags, wore wigs and battled with dueling chants.
A winner won't be crowned until Tuesday. Six players will be eliminated during Sunday's session.
