Nationals announce 1-year deal with pitcher Wang

Taiwanese pitcher Wang Chien-Ming has agreed to a one-year contract to return to the Washington Nationals.
The team announced the free-agent deal on Friday.
Wang went 4-3 with a 4.04 ERA in 11 starts for Washington in 2011. Relying primarily on his trademark sinker, he struck out 25 batters and walked 13 in 62 1-3 innings.
He returned to Major League Baseball on July 29, exactly two years after surgery on his right shoulder. Until then, Wang hadn't appeared in a big league game since July 4, 2009, when he was with the New York Yankees, for whom he twice won 19 games in a season.
It's the third consecutive one-year deal for Wang from the Nationals.
He's 59-29 with one save and a 4.15 ERA in 120 MLB appearances.
