Bosnian exporters hurt by railway workers strike

Companies have urged the Bosnian Serb government to help end a two weeks long strike by ethnic Serb railway workers, saying idled trains are causing significant financial losses.
The Chamber of Commerce of the Bosnian Serb region said in a statement Monday that Steel producer ArcelorMittal, paper factory Celex and petroleum retailer Krajinapetrol are suffering enormous losses and may be forced to pay penalties to international clients who could also cancel their contracts.
Engine drivers in the Bosnian Serb party of the country have been on strike over unpaid benefits. They have refused Bosnian Serb government calls to end the strike.
